Andreas Hofer Museum - Museum Passeier

St. Leonhard in Passeier in South Tyrol

The museum is located at St. Leonhard in Passeier in the Sandhof. It is the homeland of Andreas Hofer (1767 – 1810) the Tyrolean freedom fighter.

Once the museum was the stable of a farm now there is a exposition of Andreas Hofer and the Passeiertal Vally in South Tyrol.

In the authentic location will be narrate Hofer’s story with a lot of show pieces and a documentary film. In the barn is located the exhibition of the Passeier Valley with local customs, furniture, healing practices, agricultural life and personalities.

The museum has also an open air aria with a lot of original buildings, trough a typically furnished Passeier farmstead. The Museum Passeier also takes care of the French Cemetery, of Jufenburg Castel and the Mountain Pasture Museum in Pfistrad.
