Cheers! Naturns celebrates the Riesling

3rd edition of Riesling Days in Naturns from 1st-10th- November 2007

Already for the 4th time this year are taking place the Riesling Days in Naturns, a recommendable event for wine lovers and connoisseurs.

Riesling-grapes were cultivated in South Tyrol since the middle of 19th century. But it last more than 150 years until wine-growers knew that only the surroundings of Naturns in Vinschgau Valley and the Eisacktal Valley offer the perfect conditions to attain a first-class Riesling.

Nowadays the Riesling from South Tyrol can bear easily the comparison with Rieslings from classic growing areas like Mosel and Rhein in Germany or the ones in Italy. Because of that not only South Tyrolean Riesling but also Italian Riesling will be presented to an international jury, which have to award the best wines.

But the highlight for the public is the wine-tasting at 8th and 9th November. There everyone can taste the awarded wines and a selection of the best Rieslings from the States and from European Riesling-areas.
